    Upper Windshield Outer Trim for Toyota SUV

    This precision moulding seals the gap between the windshield glass and roof panel. It blocks water, dust, and wind, reduces cabin noise, and gives a clean factory finish. It also shields the urethane bond and paint from UV, helping the glass and body last longer on- and off-road.

    How it works

    The part is a shaped plastic/rubber extrusion with a flexible sealing lip. It snaps into the body flange via hidden clips and presses lightly against the glass edge. Its aero profile smooths airflow at speed, cutting wind roar and preventing rain from being forced under the trim.

    Why you need it

    Sun, mud, car-wash brushes, and trail vibration can harden, warp, or crack the piece. Replacing it restores proper sealing, keeps the interior quiet and dry, and protects the windshield bond line.

    If it’s damaged

    Expect whistling at highway speeds, water streaks or leaks in storms, lifted corners that can tear off, trapped grit that can start rust at the pinch weld, and extra stress on the adhesive bead. Left unchecked, you may face corrosion or premature glass replacement.

    Tech notes

    Install on clean, dry surfaces. Start at center, seat clips evenly outward with a plastic trim tool. Replace any broken retainers. In cool weather, warm the piece slightly for a perfect contour. No windshield removal is needed when clips and tape are correctly seated.
