This air conditioning condenser is a key part of the cooling circuit. It is needed to turn hot, high-pressure refrigerant gas coming from the compressor into a cooler liquid, so your cabin can get strong, steady cold air even in traffic.
How It Works
The unit sits at the front of the vehicle, where airflow is strongest. As refrigerant passes through its thin tubes and fins, heat is released to outside air. The refrigerant then leaves as a high-pressure liquid and flows to the receiver/drier or expansion valve to continue the cooling cycle.
