Front Outer Seat Belt Assembly for Toyota SUVs οΈ
Why this part is needed
This assembly keeps the driver or passenger firmly in place during hard braking and collisions. It works with the SRS system to lower injury risk, meets safety rules, and restores factory fit and smooth retraction. If your belt frays, sticks, or the warning light shows, replace it fast for reliable protection.
How it works
The webbing feeds from an inertia-reel retractor. Inside, a locking mechanism senses sudden stop or sharp vehicle tilt and clamps the spool, holding you tight. Many versions include a pretensioner that pulls the belt back in milliseconds during a crash to remove slack. The latch and buckle secure the tongue, while the height adjuster sets the belt on your shoulder. Fits the outer front position, right or left.
What happens if itβs broken
Common faults: slow or no retraction, random locking, warning lamp on, or torn webbing. A failed unit may not lock in a crash, can affect airbag timing, and can cause inspection failure. Replace at once if damaged, wet from deployment, or after an accident. β οΈ
