    This air conditioning pump assembly is the heart of your Subaru’s climate system. You need it to keep cabin temperatures stable in summer, clear fogged windows fast, and maintain proper refrigerant circulation. A healthy unit helps protect other A/C parts from overheating and pressure spikes.

    How It Works ⚙️

    The pump is belt-driven by the engine. When the A/C is switched on, an electromagnetic clutch engages, spinning the internal pistons/scroll to compress refrigerant gas. That high-pressure refrigerant then moves to the condenser, cools down, and returns through the system to deliver cold air through the vents.
