OEM Cabin Heater Core Assembly for Subaru ❄️

This high-efficiency heater core restores strong cabin heat and rapid windshield defogging on Subaru models. It matches factory specs for flow, fin density, and fit, keeping HVAC quiet and consistent in every season.

Why this part is needed

Comfort and safety. The core is the heart of your cabin heat and defrost. It transfers engine coolant warmth to the airflow, clearing glass fast in cold, wet weather and stabilizing interior temperature year‑round.

How it works

Hot coolant circulates through a brazed aluminum matrix. Louvered fins expand surface area, and the blower pushes air across the core. Blend doors mix hot and cold streams to your set temp. Seals and O‑rings keep coolant contained, while tight tanks ensure efficient heat transfer.

What happens if it’s faulty

Signs include weak heat, sweet coolant smell, greasy film on glass, fog that lingers, or damp carpet. A leak drains coolant and can trigger engine overheating. A clogged matrix reduces flow, causing poor defrost, noisy airflow, and uneven temps.

Tech notes & tips

Direct‑fit design. Replace O‑rings and hose clamps, flush the cooling system, refill with Subaru‑approved coolant, and bleed air. Inspect heater hoses, cabin filter, and blend door operation. Pressure‑test after install.
