Airbag Control Module (SRS Brain) for Mitsubishi
This safety control unit is the “decision maker” of the SRS system ⚙️. It is needed to detect a crash and trigger the correct airbags and seat belt pretensioners at the right millisecond. Without a healthy module, the whole airbag system becomes unreliable.
How It Works
The module continuously reads impact sensors and internal accelerometers, checks power supply, and monitors circuit resistance for airbags/pretensioners. When it detects a collision above a calibrated threshold, it sends a firing command and stores crash data. It also controls the SRS warning lamp on the dashboard.
