    Front Door Lock Striker Plate Assembly ?

    This door striker plate is a key body-mounted part that the front door latch grabs when you close the door. It is needed to keep the door aligned, fully latched, and safe at speed, especially on rough roads and off-road use.

    How it works ?

    When the door shuts, the latch claw rotates and locks around the striker pin/plate surface. This creates a solid mechanical hold and helps the latch reach the correct “first click” and “full lock” positions. The assembly also supports correct door gap, reduces rattles, and helps the weather seal compress evenly to block dust, water, and wind noise.

    Signs of a worn or broken striker ⚠️

    If the striker is bent, loose, or worn, the door may not close smoothly, may bounce back, or may need slamming. You can get clicking noises, vibration, wind whistle, uneven panel gaps, or a door that sits proud.
