    This precision carrier sits inside the rear right door and supports the outside handle, latch, and lock linkages. It is needed to keep everything aligned so the door opens and locks smoothly. On heavy-duty models like Toyota Land Cruiser and Prado, this frame maintains geometry under vibration, preventing handle play and hard pulls.

    How it works

    The frame bolts to the inner door skin and anchors the latch, actuator, and rods. When you pull the handle, force travels through guided levers and pivots on the carrier to release the latch pawl. The rigid base keeps the latch depth correct, stabilizes the child-lock tab, and ensures the central locking motor moves the latch without binding.

    If it is damaged ⚠️

    Expect loose or stiff handle, incomplete unlatching, door that won’t open from outside/inside, rattles, water ingress, and alarm/central locking errors. Long-term use with a cracked carrier can bend rods and wear out the latch, or leave the door not fully secured.
