    Power Back Door Control & Motor Module

    This unit drives and manages the electric tailgate on your SUV. It delivers smooth open/close, soft-stop, pinch protection, and secure latching. Ideal for daily family use, cargo loading, and rainy-day convenience, it restores factory comfort and safety with OE-level performance.

    Why you need it

    When the tailgate gets heavy, noisy, or inconsistent, the module takes the load off the hinges and gas struts, keeps the latch sealed against dust/water, and integrates with the alarm and keyless system .

    How it works

    A sealed electric motor drives a worm gear and clutch. Hall/position sensors feed the controller, which modulates torque, monitors speed, and talks to the body ECU. It supports button, remote, and foot-sensor commands.

    What happens if it fails

    • Tailgate won’t open/close or stops mid-travel
    • Beeping, error on dash, or drain from a stuck motor
    • Poor sealing, rattles, or unsafe latch engagement

    Install & setup tips

    Check hinges/struts, connectors, and ground. Mount firmly, route loom away from sharp edges, then initialize stroke via switch sequence. Update calibration if available.
