    Front Upper Suspension Strut Mount for BMW X5/X6 (E70/E71) ?️

    This suspension mount is a key link between the front strut and the vehicle body. It’s needed to keep the strut centered, absorb road shock, and reduce vibration and noise that would otherwise travel into the cabin. When fitted correctly, it helps your BMW keep sharp steering feel and stable tire contact, especially over bumps and during braking.

    How it works ⚙️

    Inside the mount, a reinforced rubber insulator and bearing surface support the strut rod while allowing smooth rotation as you turn the steering. The rubber layer damps impacts, while the mount holds correct suspension geometry, protecting the strut, spring, and body top tower from harsh loads.

    What happens if it’s worn or broken ?

    A failing mount can cause clunking over potholes, wandering steering, uneven tire wear, and extra vibration. In advanced wear, the strut may shift position, stressing the spring and top tower, reducing handling safety and making alignment difficult to hold.
