Control Arm Lever Bushing (Chassis Suspension) ?
This suspension bushing is a small part with a big job: it cushions the connection point between a control lever and the vehicle frame.
It is needed to keep the suspension tight, quiet, and correctly aligned while still allowing smooth movement over bumps.
How It Works ?
The bushing uses a tough rubber (or elastomer) core bonded to an outer sleeve. When the suspension moves, it twists and flexes instead of letting metal rub on metal.
This controls vibration, keeps the arm located in the right position, and helps maintain stable steering feel and tire contact with the road.
Why Replacement Matters โ
When worn, the lever can shift under braking or cornering. That can cause clunks, wandering steering, uneven tire wear, and poor alignment readings.
A damaged bushing may also add harshness and vibration into the cabin, and can accelerate wear on joints, tires, and other suspension parts.
Symptoms of a Broken or Worn Bushing โ ๏ธ
- Knocking or clunking over bumps
- Vehicle pulls or feels unstable at speed
- Uneven tire wear or frequent alignment loss
- Loose steering response during braking
