Crossmember Rubber Mount for Hyundai/Kia SUVs
This heavy-duty rubber mount sits between the rear subframe and the body shell. It isolates vibration, keeps the cradle centered, and holds alignment true. Fresh mounts restore a quiet ride, stable handling, and even tire wear β ideal for daily driving, towing, and long trips .
Why itβs needed
Road impacts, salt, and age harden or crack the rubber. A healthy mount cushions bumps, stops metal-to-metal contact, and keeps suspension geometry consistent under load.
How it works
The bushing has a steel outer shell, bonded elastomer core, and inner sleeve for the bolt. The rubber works in shear to absorb movement, while the sleeve lets you torque the fastener without crushing the rubber, locking the crossmember in the correct position.
When it fails β οΈ
- Clunks over bumps, rear-end shimmy
- Shudder on braking or acceleration
- Wandering feel and poor straight-line stability
- Uneven tire wear and alignment that wonβt hold
- Risk of subframe stress and corrosion spread
Tech notes
Press-fit part; use a bushing tool. Torque at normal ride height. Replace in pairs for best results. Apply anti-seize on sleeves and perform a four-wheel alignment after install β
