Windshield Side Moulding Trim ?
This side trim strip seals and finishes the edge of the front glass where it meets the body pillar. It is needed to keep rain, dust, and wind noise out, and to protect the windshield bonding area from UV and debris. A correct moulding also helps the glass sit stable by guiding airflow and preventing small vibrations at highway speed.
How It Works ?
The moulding locks into the channel along the windshield side and presses gently against the glass and body. Its flexible rubberized profile acts like a weather barrier, while the outer lip deflects water away from the edge. This reduces corrosion risk around the frame and keeps the cabin quieter.
If It’s Damaged ?
When cracked, loose, or missing, you may notice whistling noise, water tracks down the A-pillar, or dirt collecting near the glass edge. Over time, moisture can attack paint and cause rust, and the windshield adhesive area can degrade, leading to leaks and poor fit.
