Front Hood Weatherstrip Seal for Mitsubishi
This front hood edge seal keeps the engine bay clean and quiet. It closes the gap between the bonnet and the cowl, blocking water, dust, and wind. A fresh seal protects paint, reduces rattles, and keeps underโhood parts safe from moisture and grime. Ideal when the old rubber is cracked, flattened, or missing clips.
Why this part is needed โ
It prevents water drips onto coils and belts, cuts wind noise at speed, and stops hood vibration. It also protects the latch area from corrosion and reduces fumes entering the cabin intake near the wipers.
How it works
Made from automotive EPDM, the seal compresses evenly along the hood lip. When the hood closes, the rubber forms a continuous barrier. Factory-style clips and molded ends ensure tight fit, heat and UV resistance, and long service life.
If the seal is damaged โ
- Water intrusion, misfires after heavy rain
- Increased wind whistle and road noise
- Paint rub marks along hood edge
- Corroded latch/hinges, sticky release
- Dust buildup on filters and plastics
