Gear Shift Opening Cover Assembly ⚙️
This cover seals the shifter opening in the floor/console, guiding the boot and stabilizing the lever. Why it’s needed
Without a tight seal, debris and moisture reach the shift mechanism, wear increases, and cabin comfort drops. This assembly ensures smooth shifts, protects the tunnel area, and maintains NVH control.
How it works
The plate fixes to the tunnel/console; the shifter passes through the centered aperture. A boot snaps or screws to the frame, forming a two-stage barrier: mechanical support plus rubber sealing. Drain and relief channels direct moisture away.
What happens if broken ⚠️
