Left Side Steering Tie Rod End Assembly

This steering joint is a critical link between your steering rack and the front wheel knuckle. When you turn the steering wheel, it transfers that motion to the wheel with the correct angle, helping the car track straight and respond quickly ?️. It’s needed whenever there is looseness in the steering, uneven tire wear, or after impact damage to the front suspension.

How It Works

Inside the housing is a ball-and-socket joint protected by a dust boot. The joint allows smooth movement up/down with suspension travel while still pushing and pulling the wheel for steering. Correct alignment depends on this part staying tight and properly greased.

What Happens If It’s Worn or Broken

A failing unit can cause steering play, knocking sounds over bumps, vibration, and rapid inner/outer tire wear. In severe cases it may separate, leading to sudden loss of steering control βš οΈβ€”a serious safety risk. Replacing it restores safe handling and makes wheel alignment stable again.
