Dashboard Vent Register Assembly – Smooth Airflow Control ❄️
This interior air outlet register is a small but important part of the HVAC system. It is needed to direct air where the driver and passengers want it—face, side window, or cabin center—while keeping the dashboard trim neat and sealed.
How It Works ️
Air from the blower passes through the duct and exits through this register. Inside, adjustable louvers pivot with a thumb wheel or lever to change direction and sometimes reduce airflow. A tight frame and clips hold it firmly in the dash so air doesn’t leak behind the panel.
When Replacement Is Needed ⚠️
If the register is cracked, loose, or jammed, airflow becomes weak or impossible to aim. Broken louvers can rattle, whistle, or fall inside the duct. In severe cases, air escapes into the dashboard, reducing cabin cooling/heating performance and increasing blower noise.
