Rear Lower Coil Spring Insulator for Hyundai/Kia
This rear lower spring pad sits between the coil spring and the rear suspension seat. It cushions the spring, stops metal-to-metal contact, and keeps the spring centered. Using a fresh insulator restores quiet ride quality, protects the spring seat, and helps maintain correct ride height. Ideal as a preventive replacement when springs, shocks, or rear arms are serviced.
Why you need it ️
It reduces road noise and vibration (NVH), spreads load evenly, and shields paint on the spring from abrasion. That means longer life for the spring and the chassis cup.
How it works ⚙️
Molded elastomer with locating grooves cradles the spring’s end coil. It isolates vibration, damps harsh impacts, and prevents sideways movement during compression and rebound.
When it’s worn or broken ⚠️
Expect clunks over bumps, squeaks, harsher ride, shifted spring position, uneven rear height, accelerated cup corrosion, and possible spring paint peel leading to rust.
Install notes ✅
Clean the seat, align the coil “pigtail” to the stop, avoid petroleum grease (use silicone if needed), and torque fasteners at ride height. Replace in pairs for consistent results.
