Rear Shock Mount Insulator Assembly for Infiniti/Nissan Platforms ️
This rubber-insulated mount piece is needed to secure the shock absorber at the body mounting point while cutting vibration and road noise. It acts like a “buffer” between metal parts, so the suspension can move freely without harsh knocking. On daily driving, it helps keep the ride smooth, protects the shock tower area, and reduces stress on the shock absorber hardware.
How it works ⚙️
The insulator’s elastic core absorbs vertical impacts and small oscillations. As the shock compresses and rebounds, the mount allows controlled movement while keeping alignment stable. This prevents metal-to-metal contact, limits vibration transfer into the cabin, and keeps the shock seated correctly under load.
