Rear Spring Rubber Seat for Nissan Patrol/Safari
This rear suspension cushion mounts between the leaf spring pack and the axle seat. In tough Patrol and Safari use, it keeps the spring centered, stops metal-to-metal contact, spreads load evenly, and cuts road noise and vibration. A fresh rubber seat restores quiet ride, protects the spring stack and axle saddle, and keeps handling stable during towing, hauling, and off-road work.
Why you need it
It isolates shocks, maintains ride height, and prevents fretting wear on leaves and saddles. It also supports correct axle location under U-bolt clamping, helping steering feel and braking stability.
How it works
High-density elastomer absorbs impact and shear. The molded locator fits the perch so the spring stays aligned. Under U-bolt torque, the pad distributes force across the leaf pack and reduces corrosion and squeaks.
When itβs worn or broken β οΈ
Expect clunks over bumps, harsher ride, squeaks, uneven tire wear, axle shift on take-off, steering shimmy when braking, and faster wear of leaves and U-bolts. Dirt and water can enter the gap, accelerating damage.
Fitment tips β
Support axle, unload spring, clean the seat, install dry (no grease), align the locator, tighten new U-bolts in a cross pattern to spec, and recheck torque after 100β200 km. Replace in pairs for even results.
