Front Sway Bar Link, OEM Ref 54830C5000 β
Keep your SUV steady and predictable with this front sway bar link. It joins the anti-roll bar to the suspension arm/strut, transferring force left-to-right to cut body roll in turns. Result: flatter cornering, sharper steering, and safer emergency moves .
Why you need it
Modern crossovers are tall and carry families, cargo, and trailers. This link helps the chassis stay level so tires keep full grip. Itβs a small part with a big impact on stability, braking balance, and comfort.
How it works
A hardened steel rod with two ball-stud joints connects the stabilizer bar to the suspension. When the car leans, the bar twists and the link transmits that twist to counter roll. Low-friction joints and sealed boots keep movement smooth and quiet .
If worn or broken
Expect clunks on bumps, wandering steering, extra body sway, uneven tire wear, and longer stopping in turns. ESP may intervene more often. A snapped link leaves the bar inactive on that side, reducing control and can fail inspection β οΈ.
Tech notes
Replace in pairs, torque at ride height, and check bar bushings. No grease neededβjoints are sealed.
