Front Lower Control Arm Suspension Bolt
This fastening bolt is a small but critical part of the front suspension. It locks the front lower control arm in the correct position so the wheel can move up and down smoothly while staying aligned. When you hit bumps or brake hard, this bolt helps keep the arm stable and the chassis controlled ?οΈ.
Why This Part Is Needed
The lower arm carries heavy loads from the road. A correct bolt with proper strength and thread fit is required to hold the bushings and brackets tight, preventing unwanted movement. Without the right bolt, suspension geometry changes and handling becomes unsafe.
How It Works
It passes through the lower arm mounting point and clamps the joint firmly when tightened to spec. This clamping force stops shifting under vibration, steering input, and off-road impacts, keeping camber and caster stable for even tire contact β .
What Happens If Itβs Broken or Worn
A damaged or stretched bolt can cause knocking noises, wandering steering, uneven tire wear, and poor braking stability. In severe cases the arm can loosen, risking loss of control. Replace immediately if threads are stripped, the shank is bent, or corrosion is heavy β οΈ.
