Front Lower Control Arm Bushing ️

This suspension bushing is a small part with a big job: it cushions the connection between the lower control arm and the subframe. It’s needed to keep the front wheels stable while still allowing the arm to move up and down over bumps. By isolating vibration, it helps your SUV track straight, brake smoothly, and feel tight instead of loose.

How it works

The bushing uses rubber bonded to a metal sleeve to absorb shock and control flex. When the suspension compresses, it twists slightly instead of letting metal parts grind together. This reduces noise and protects the control arm and mounting points from wear.

What happens if it’s worn or broken

  • Clunking/knocking over potholes
  • Steering wander and poor straight-line stability
  • Uneven tire wear and vibration at speed
  • Harder braking feel and alignment that won’t hold

Replacing a bad bushing restores proper geometry and helps prevent costly tire and suspension damage.
