Front Strut Top Bearing & Mount ?️

This suspension bearing-and-mount unit sits at the top of the strut and connects it to the body. It is needed to keep the strut aligned, absorb road shock, and let the strut rotate smoothly when you steer.

How It Works βš™οΈ

Inside the mount is a bearing surface that allows the spring/strut assembly to turn without binding. The rubber isolator section dampens vibration, so bumps don’t travel straight into the cabin. When everything is healthy, steering feels light and the front end stays quiet and stable.

Why Replacement Matters βœ…

A worn mount or seized bearing can cause clunks over bumps, spring β€œtwang” noises, stiff steering return, and uneven tire wear. It can also shift strut geometry, reducing braking stability and cornering confidence.

If It’s Broken ?

Driving with a failed top mount may lead to harsh vibration, wandering alignment, and faster wear of shocks, springs, and tires. In severe cases, the strut can move excessively and damage surrounding suspension parts.
