Hood Sound & Heat Liner for Quiet, Protected Driving

This hood insulator is a key part for comfort and durability. It cuts engine noise, keeps heat away from the bonnet paint, and stabilizes engine-bay temperature. With the liner in place, the cabin stays calmer on highways, and the hood finish resists heat soak and fading. It’s the smart way to protect your SUV and enjoy a refined drive.

Why you need it βœ…

- Reduces engine and fan noise for a quieter cabin
- Shields hood paint from radiant heat and hot spots
- Helps engine warm up evenly and reduces heat soak after shutdown
- Prevents condensation drips onto ignition parts

How it works βš™οΈ

A multi-layer felt/foam mat, sometimes with foil backing, is clipped to the underside of the hood. It absorbs sound waves and reflects heat away from the outer panel. Factory-style push clips lock it in place. The material is self-extinguishing and cut to clear the latch and washer nozzles for an OEM-fit install.

What happens if it’s damaged ❗

More engine noise in the cabin, hood getting very hot, sagging or crumbling liner, burnt spots, and missing clips. Over time, paint can discolor or blister, and plastics near the hood skin can age faster. In rain, moisture can soak and drip, causing misfires or corrosion.

Replacement tips

Replace brittle clips, clean the hood inner panel, align cutouts, and press clips until they seat. Do not stretch the liner; it should sit flat. Close the hood and recheck latch operation.
