Rear Bumper Side Retainer / Bracket (Genuine Fit)
This small mounting retainer is a must-have piece that keeps the rear bumper corner aligned with the body and wheel-arch area. It’s designed to hold the bumper skin tight, stop edge vibration, and maintain correct panel gaps for a clean factory look ✅
Why this part is needed
The bumper cover is flexible, so it relies on side retainers to lock into place. Without a solid guide, the bumper corner can move, rub paint, or pull away at speed.
How it works
The retainer bolts/clips to the body and creates a firm track for the bumper tabs. When the bumper is pushed into position, it “slides and clicks” into the bracket, spreading load across the side edge to reduce stress cracks and noise ?
What happens if it’s broken
A damaged retainer often causes a loose bumper corner, uneven gaps, rattles over bumps, and the bumper edge popping out after minor impacts. Over time it may lead to broken bumper tabs, paint wear, and water/dirt getting behind the cover ❌
