Upper Cab Mount Cushion (No.4) — Purpose ️
This OEM-grade body mount cushion supports the cab on the ladder frame, isolates vibration and road shock, and keeps ride comfort, noise control, and correct cab height in check. It helps maintain door/fender gaps and protects brackets from impact. Made from high-density rubber bonded to a steel sleeve, it resists oil, ozone, and heavy loads—ideal for daily use, towing, and off-road tracks.
How it works ⚙️
The cushion sits between the frame bracket and cab bracket. When the body bolt is torqued, the rubber compresses around a steel sleeve to center the cab and filter engine and suspension buzz. It prevents metal-to-metal contact, dampens harshness, and spreads load across the chassis. The “No.4” position refers to a specific rear cab location; replacing mounts in pairs keeps balance and ride quality.
What happens if it’s worn or broken
Cracked or collapsed rubber causes cabin vibration, steering shake, squeaks, and clunks over bumps. You may see uneven body gaps, misaligned doors, and windshield/trim rattles. The cab can sit low on one side, stressing bolts, brackets, fuel lines, and wiring—leading to faster wear and unsafe handling on rough roads.
Installation tips
Support the cab with a jack and wood block, loosen the body bolt, swap the upper cushion and washers, then torque to factory spec.
