How it works ⚙️
This elastomer buffer sits at the No.4 position of the cab mount stack. A bonded sleeve centers the bolt, while the rubber core compresses to absorb impacts and torsion. Working together with the lower cushion and washers, it spreads load, prevents metal-to-metal contact, and keeps the cab square on the frame.
What happens if it’s broken ❗
Expect clunks on bumps, steering shimmy, and extra vibration. Doors may misalign, panel gaps change, and windshield or dash can rattle. Prolonged use can oval the bracket, stretch bolts, and transmit stress into the body and frame—raising repair costs.
