Front Upper Cab Mount Cushion for Toyota Trucks ?
This rubber-and-steel isolator supports the cab on the frame, cutting noise, vibration, and harshness while holding correct cab height. A fresh cushion restores ride comfort, protects body panels, and keeps steering feel consistent on rough roads.
Why you need it
Old mounts harden, crush, or split. Replacing this upper cushion keeps the cab centered, doors aligned, and prevents frame shock from transferring into the body.
How it works ?
A through-bolt passes a metal sleeve and washer set, clamping the cushion between the cab bracket and frame perch. The elastomer works in compression and shear to absorb impact and filter buzz, while the sleeve controls torque and stack height for secure clamping.
When it fails β οΈ
Expect clunks over bumps, cab-to-bed shudder, crooked panel gaps, steering shake, doors rubbing, cracked sealant, or metal-to-metal contact. Ignored, the bolt can fret, mounts can rust oval, and the cab may sag or misalign.
Tech tips ?οΈ
Replace in pairs by position, torque with the vehicle on its wheels, reuse or replace washers and sleeve, align any shims, and apply anti-seize to bolt threads only. Inspect the lower cushion at the same time.
