Shock Absorber Bushing for Honda Suspension

Why you need it

This small mount keeps the shock firmly located while filtering road vibration. It stops metal-to-metal contact, keeps the damper eye centered, and helps the suspension track straight. With a healthy bushing, you get a quiet ride, stable braking, and even tire wear.

How it works

The bushing is a bonded rubber sleeve pressed into the shock eye. A bolt passes through its inner sleeve. The rubber flexes on bumps, absorbing energy and allowing controlled micro-rotation. That flex isolates noise, maintains wheel alignment under load, and protects the shock body from side stress.

What happens when it fails

Expect clunks over potholes, rear-end wiggle, steering shimmy, and feathered tires. Hard braking may feel unstable. A torn bushing can tilt the damper, leading to premature shock leakage and broken mounts. Ignoring it risks damage to arms and fasteners. ⚠️

Pro install tips

Press in square, lubricate lightly as specified, torque bolts at ride height, and replace in pairs for balance. Choose OE-grade rubber for factory comfort or performance compound for sharper response.
