Under‑engine splash shield for Toyota
This engine under cover (undertray) mounts beneath the motor and gearbox, sealing the lower side of the bay. Made from impact‑resistant PP/EPDM with stiffening ribs, it blocks stones, water, and road salt, and smooths airflow for better cooling and fuel economy. It’s an OE‑grade, direct‑fit solution for popular Toyota models.
Why you need this part
It protects belts, pulleys, wiring, and the oil pan from debris. The panel also reduces noise, keeps filters and connectors clean, and guides fresh air to the radiator and brakes, stabilizing temperatures in city and highway use.
How it works
Bolted to the subframe and side liners with clips and screws, the shield forms a flat belly pan. Vents and lips channel airflow, while splash curtains deflect water. Service ports allow oil changes without removing the tray.
What happens if it’s damaged ⚠️
Expect rattles, worse mpg, and higher temps in heavy rain. Moisture can reach sensors and belts, causing misfire, slipping, or frayed edges. Debris may strike the sump or A/C lines, risking leaks. Aerodynamic drag rises and corrosion speeds up.
Fitment and install tips
Inspect side liners and clip seats; replace missing fasteners and grommets. Align all holes before tightening, then torque evenly. After fitting, check clearance on full steering lock and perform a short road test.
