This precision cap seals the rear hub and axle nut, keeping grease clean and the wheel bearing safe. Built from corrosionβresistant steel with a tight press fit and factoryβstyle lip, it blocks water, salt, and road grit while maintaining correct hub pressure. Ideal for daily driving, towing, and light offβroad use.
Why you need it
Wheel bearings live a hard life. Without a proper cover, moisture and dirt contaminate grease, heat builds up, and the bearing wears fast. A fresh cap protects the hub cavity, extends bearing life, and helps keep brake components cleaner.
How it works οΈ
The cap presses into the hub bore with an interference fit. Its flange seats squarely against the hub shoulder to form a tight mechanical seal. This barrier keeps grease in and debris out while allowing normal expansion under temperature changes.
What happens if broken β οΈ
A dented, loose, or missing cap lets in water and mud. Grease thins, you hear humming or growling, and the wheel may develop play. Left unchecked, the bearing can overheat, damage the spindle, foul ABS tone rings, and cause uneven pad wear.

Clean the hub lip, lightly oil the edge, and tap the cap in evenly with a rubber mallet or cap driverβdo not deform it. Inspect the seal and bearing; replace if pitted or noisy. Verify axle nut torque to factory spec after service.
