This assembly is the heart of Toyota’s Active Height Control (AHC) system. It creates the hydraulic pressure that raises, lowers, and levels the vehicle, keeping ride height correct, comfort high, and handling stable on- and off-road. Without it, the suspension cannot change height or hold a load properly.

How it works ⚙️

A 12V electric motor drives a hydraulic pump that draws AHC fluid through a strainer, pressurizes it, and feeds an accumulator. Check valves, a relief valve, and a pressure sensor protect the system and keep response consistent.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

- Height won’t change or reacts very slowly
- AHC light blinks or “OFF” stays on
- Vehicle sags, tilts, or rides harsh (empty accumulator)
- Loud pump, burnt motor smell, blown fuse, or fluid leaks

- Use only Toyota AHC fluid (do not use ATF)
