Rear Stabilizer Bar Cushion (Bushing)
This rear anti-roll bar cushion is a small rubber mount that keeps the stabilizer bar held tight to the chassis. It is needed to control body roll in corners, reduce rear-end sway, and keep the suspension quiet and stable on rough roads.
How It Works ⚙️
The stabilizer bar twists when the left and right wheels move differently. The cushion sits between the bar and the bracket, letting the bar rotate smoothly while absorbing vibration. It also centers the bar so it doesn’t shift side-to-side under load.
Signs It’s Worn or Broken
If the cushion cracks, hardens, or gets loose, the bar can knock against the bracket or subframe. You may hear clunks over bumps, feel extra lean in turns, or notice a “wandering” rear during quick lane changes.
