Front Stabilizer Bar Bushing (No.1) for Smooth, Quiet Handling
This suspension bushing is needed to hold the front stabilizer (sway) bar firmly in place while still allowing it to twist during cornering. It works like a soft clamp: the rubber material cushions the bar, cuts vibration, and keeps the bar centered so left and right suspension movement stays balanced.
How It Works
When you turn or hit uneven road surfaces, the stabilizer bar twists to reduce body roll. The bushing supports this motion, preventing metal-to-metal contact, lowering noise, and keeping steering feel stable. A good bushing also helps protect brackets and the bar itself from wear.
If the Bushing Is Worn or Broken ⚠️
A damaged bushing can cause clunking over bumps, loose front-end feel, extra body roll, uneven handling, and faster wear of sway bar links and mounts. In severe cases, the bar can shift in its bracket, creating vibration and poor road control—especially during quick lane changes.
