Upper Control Arm Bush – Front Suspension

Why you need it

This component locks in camber and caster, filters vibration, and stabilizes braking. It prevents harsh impacts from reaching the chassis, protects tire edges, and restores tight, predictable handling. Fresh bushes reduce noise and improve steering return to center.

How it works

Press-fit into the control arm, the outer shell anchors to the bracket while the bonded rubber flexes around the inner sleeve. The arm bolt passes through that sleeve, allowing controlled rotation through suspension travel . The design absorbs road shock and blocks metal-to-metal contact for low NVH.

When worn or broken

Expect clunks on bumps, wandering at speed, steering pull, uneven tire wear on inner/outer edges , and squeaks over small ripples. Visual signs include cracked or oil-swollen rubber and shifted sleeves. Ignoring it skews alignment, stresses ball joints, and can oval mounting holes. Replace in pairs, torque at ride height, then perform a wheel alignment.
