Front Strut Top Mount (RH/LH) for Toyota RAV4
This front suspension support mount holds the strut to the body, keeps wheel geometry stable, and filters road vibration. It works on either right or left side and is engineered to OEM standards for quiet, precise steering and long bushing life. Ideal for restoring factory ride comfort and handling on Toyota RAV4 models.
Why you need it β
The mount carries vehicle weight, damps noise and vibration, and maintains camber during bumps and braking. Without a healthy mount, alignment and steering feel suffer, and tires wear faster.
How it works βοΈ
A steel plate and bonded rubber insulator support the strut rod. An integrated thrust bearing lets the strut rotate smoothly as you steer, preventing spring wind-up and steering bind.
When it fails, what happens β
Expect clunks over bumps, popping while turning, vague steering, pull or wander, and cupped tire wear. Severe wear causes metal-to-metal noise, slow return-to-center, brake instability, and play at the strut tower. Continued use can damage the shock rod and upper spring seat.
Pro tips οΈ
Replace in pairs, torque with wheels on the ground, and do a wheel alignment afterward. Inspect bearing, dust boot, and spring seat; orient the mount correctly.
