Front Strut Top Support Assembly (RH/LH)
This mount secures the front strut to the body and isolates road shocks. It keeps steering precise, ride quiet, and alignment stable. If you want solid handling, even tire wear, and no clunks, this unit is essential.
Why itβs needed β
The support carries vehicle weight, centers the strut, and damps vibration. It also allows the strut to rotate smoothly while you steer. A healthy mount keeps NVH low and protects the strut rod and spring seat.
How it works βοΈ
Inside is a reinforced rubber insulator and a bearing plate. The rubber absorbs impact from potholes. The bearing lets the strut turn with minimal friction so steering returns to center and feels light.
What happens if itβs bad β
You may hear knocking over bumps, feel heavy or jerky steering, and see uneven tire wear. Alignment may drift, braking can feel unstable, and the strut shaft or spring can get damaged. Left unchecked, it can affect safety.
Install notes
Replace in pairs when possible. Torque with wheels on the ground, follow OE specs, and perform alignment after installation.
