Right Side Tie Rod End Assembly ๐Ÿš—

Why this steering part is needed

This component links the steering rack to the right front wheel knuckle. It is a high-wear joint that keeps your wheel angle following the steering wheel input. Without a tight tie rod end, the vehicle cannot hold accurate alignment and safe steering control.

How it works

Inside the end is a hardened ball-and-socket joint. It allows smooth movement up and down with suspension travel while still pushing and pulling the wheel left or right. The threaded section lets technicians set toe during wheel alignment. A protective boot holds grease in and dirt out, extending joint life.

What happens if itโ€™s worn or broken โš ๏ธ

A failing joint creates steering play, clunks over bumps, and uneven tire wear. If ignored, it can cause wandering, vibration, and unstable braking. In severe cases the joint may separate, leading to sudden loss of steering controlโ€”an immediate safety risk.

Common signs you should replace it

  • Loose steering feel
  • Knocking noise when turning
  • Feathered or rapid tire wear
  • Steering wheel off-center after bumps
