Helper Spring Bracket Attachment for Rear Leaf Suspension

This rugged mount secures the rear helper (overload) leaf to the chassis on Toyota light trucks. It keeps the spring aligned, supports extra cargo weight, and stabilizes the rear axle for safe, predictable handling. Built for hard work, it protects ride height and load control on tough roads.

Why you need it ✅

When the truck is loaded, the helper leaf engages. This bracket guides and anchors that leaf so added weight is carried by the frame, reducing squat, axle wrap, and sway. It maintains level stance and improves braking stability.

How it works

A thick steel saddle and mounting ears clamp to the frame with high‑tensile bolts. The bracket centers the helper leaf and transfers force into the chassis rails. Bushings isolate vibration, while the channel keeps the pack true under compression.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

Expect clunks over bumps, rear-end sag, wandering steering, and uneven tire wear. Cracks or oval holes can shift the spring, misalign the axle, strain brake hoses, and in severe cases let the helper leaf disengage from its seat.

Install tips

  • Direct-fit geometry; use new bolts and nuts where possible
  • Torque to spec with the vehicle at ride height
  • Inspect shackles, U-bolts, and bushings; replace in pairs
  • Apply anti-corrosion coating in harsh climates
