Front Toe Adjustment Cam – Suspension Alignment Eccentric

Why you need this part

This adjuster sets the front wheel toe angle so your vehicle tracks straight, the steering wheel stays centered, and tires wear evenly. It is essential after lift kits, bushing or control arm work, and any trim height change. A precise toe setting reduces road wander, vibration, and braking instability, protecting shocks, ball joints, and tires .

How it works

An eccentric cam and washer clamp the lower control arm bushing in a slotted bracket. When you rotate the bolt head, the off-center cam shifts the arm slightly in or out, changing toe by small, accurate steps. Once torqued, the cam face locks in place, holding alignment under load, cornering, and braking.

What happens if it fails

Rust-seized or worn cams won’t turn or won’t hold position. Alignment drifts, the wheel pulls, and tires feather on the inner/outer edges. You may feel vague steering, hear squeaks over bumps, and see the steering wheel off-center. In severe cases, the shop cannot set toe at all, causing fast tire wear and higher fuel use ⚠️.

Installer notes

Pre-soak rusty hardware, cut the old bolt if needed, clean the slots, and apply anti-seize on the shank (not on threads). Always torque at normal ride height and finish with a professional 4-wheel alignment. Replacing both sides together gives the best result βœ….
