Camber Adjustment Cam for Front Suspension

This suspension alignment cam is used to fine-tune wheel camber and sometimes a bit of toe on vehicles that use an eccentric bolt setup. When your car pulls to one side, eats tires on the inside edge, or feels unstable after hitting a pothole, this small part often becomes the missing link .

Why this part is needed

Correct camber keeps the tire tread flat on the road. The adjuster cam gives the technician controlled movement at the control arm mounting point, allowing precise alignment after repairs, bushing wear, or minor suspension knocks.

How it works

The cam sits on an alignment bolt and has an offset (eccentric) shape. As the bolt is rotated, the cam shifts the control arm position slightly, changing the wheel angle. Once set, it locks in place under clamp load to hold alignment steady βœ….

What happens if it’s worn or damaged

A bent or seized cam can stop proper alignment, causing rapid tire wear, steering wander, vibration, and poor braking stability. In severe cases the setting can slip, throwing alignment out again and again .

Best practice

Replace with matching hardware if corroded, and always perform a full wheel alignment after installation.
