Front Lower Coil Spring Insulator (Right/Left)
This suspension cushion sits at the lower seat of the front coil spring on either side. Its job is simple but critical: it separates metal-to-metal contact between the spring and the control arm/spring perch. That means less noise, less vibration, and a smoother ride .
Why this part is needed
Every bump compresses the coil spring. Without a proper insulator, the spring can grind into its seat, creating squeaks and harshness. The insulator also helps keep the spring centered and stable, so suspension geometry stays consistent.
How it works
Made from durable rubber-like material, it acts as a shock and vibration damper. It absorbs small impacts, reduces resonance, and prevents the springβs end coil from digging into the perch. It also protects painted surfaces from chipping and corrosion.
What happens if itβs worn or broken
If cracked, flattened, or missing, you may hear clunking or squealing over bumps, feel extra vibration in the cabin, and see uneven spring seating. Over time it can cause accelerated rust, damage to the spring seat, and even abnormal tire wear due to ride height changes β οΈ.
Best practice
Replace in pairs and inspect the spring seat and strut components during suspension service for the best long-term results.
