Rear spring bump stop, left side β€” protect your suspension ️

This left rear spring bumper (bump stop) is a key safety part in the suspension of heavy 4x4 SUVs. It limits upward axle travel, cushions hard hits, and shields the frame, spring, and shock from metal-to-metal impact. If you tow, carry loads, or go off-road, this rubber stopper keeps ride comfort stable and noise low.

How it works

The unit mounts to the chassis on the left rear. It is made from high-density elastomer on a strong bracket. During big bumps, it compresses in stages and absorbs energy. This progressive action controls body movement, keeps the axle centered, and prevents over-compression of the coil/leaf spring and shock absorber.

Why you need it βœ…

It protects suspension geometry, reduces vibration and clunk, and extends life of shocks, springs, and mounts. It also helps keep the vehicle stable while braking over rough roads.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

Cracked or missing bump stop causes harsh bottoming, loud knocks, poor comfort, and can bend brackets or damage shocks and springs. Expect faster tire wear, left-rear sag, and worse control on washboards or potholes.

Install tips

Direct bolt-on. Clean the seat, use new hardware if corroded, torque to spec, and inspect the right side for symmetry. Check shock bushings and U-bolts during service.
