Steering Angle Sensor Module for Nissan Trucks & SUVs
Keep your safety systems sharp. This steering angle sensor tells ABS/ESC/VDC exactly where the wheel is pointing in real time, so the vehicle can compare steering input to yaw rate and wheel speed. With correct data, the truck stays stable in evasive moves, slippery starts, and hard stops ️.
Why you need it
It’s essential for stability control, traction control, hill systems, and brake assist. Accurate readings mean confident tracking, straight braking, and fewer warning lights.
How it works
Inside is an encoded ring and dual sensors (optical or Hall). As you turn the wheel, the module measures degrees and direction, then sends signals over CAN to the ABS/ESC unit. A zero-point calibration sets true “straight ahead.”
When it fails ⚠️
ABS/VDC lights on, traction control disabled, unpredictable brake pulsing, limp stability logic, uneven steering assist, and failed inspection. The truck may feel nervous on wet roads.
Install & calibration tips
Center the wheels, disconnect battery, fit sensor without spinning the ring, torque to spec, then perform calibration with a scan tool or lock‑to‑lock routine. Clear DTCs and road test on a safe, flat surface.
