Front Wheel Speed Sensor for ABS ?

How it works ⚙️

A Hall-effect/magnetic element faces the tone ring on the wheel hub. As the teeth pass, the sensor outputs a clean pulse signal. The control module compares signals from each wheel to detect slip and modulate brake pressure. It also supports stability control and, on some cars, the speed display. OE-style sealing, grommets, and connector keep the signal stable in heat, water, and road salt.

If it fails ❗

You may see ABS and slip lights, traction disabled, longer stopping distance on slick surfaces, uneven brake action, and cruise control shut off. In some cases the speed readout becomes erratic. The car can be driven, but safety margin is reduced and pads/rotors may wear faster.

• Inspect the tone ring; remove rust and debris.
• Route the harness in original clips, away from heat and moving parts.
