This rear antiskid sensor is a key safety part in the ABS and traction control system. It is needed to measure rear wheel rotation and send a clean speed signal to the control unit. How It Works
The sensor reads a tone ring (or magnetic encoder) as the wheel turns. It creates a pulse signal that changes with wheel speed. The ABS module compares wheel speeds and, when it detects a skid, it commands the hydraulic unit to modulate brake pressure in milliseconds, keeping steering control and stability.
Why You Must Replace a Failed Sensor
If the sensor is damaged, dirty, or has wiring corrosion, the system may lose the wheel speed input.
