This rear wheel speed sensor is a key part of the anti-skid (ABS) system. It is needed to keep the vehicle stable during braking, especially on wet roads, gravel, or emergency stops ??. The sensor constantly reads how fast the rear wheel is turning and sends a clean signal to the ABS control unit.
How It Works
The sensor sits close to a toothed ring or magnetic encoder on the hub/axle. As the wheel rotates, it creates a pulse signal. This helps maintain steering control and reduces skid risk.
