Front Disc Brake Caliper Assembly for Toyota Hilux οΈ
OE-grade, direct-fit front brake caliper built to restore firm, straight, and quiet stopping. Designed for heavy-duty Hilux use, it maintains even pad pressure, resists heat, and keeps braking performance stable in daily driving and load/tow situations.
Why this part is needed οΈ
The caliper supplies the clamping force that slows the rotor. It centers the pads, controls pad retract, and prevents drag. A fresh unit gives consistent pedal feel and reduces uneven wear.
How it works
Pressing the pedal sends hydraulic pressure to the piston. The piston pushes the inner pad; the floating body slides on guide pins to pull the outer pad, squeezing the rotor. High-temp seals manage movement and self-retract slightly. A bleed screw lets air out for a solid pedal.
What happens if itβs failing β οΈ
- Vehicle pulls to one side, pads wear unevenly
- Soft or spongy pedal from fluid leaks
- Overheating, burning smell, blue or warped rotor

Tech notes β
- Replace in axle pairs for balanced braking
