    Front Brake Caliper Piston for Toyota SUV/Truck

    This precision piston restores strong, straight stopping on vehicles with front disc brakes. It is needed to keep hydraulic pressure sealed, push the pad evenly against the rotor, and retract smoothly when you release the pedal. If your brakes feel weak, pull to one side, or the pads wear unevenly, a worn piston is often the hidden cause .

    How It Works ⚙️

    Brake fluid pressure drives the piston forward through a square-cut seal, clamping the pad to the rotor. When pressure drops, the seal flex returns the piston slightly for pad clear-off. A smooth, plated surface resists heat and corrosion, and the dust boot shields contaminants. Correct piston diameter and finish are vital for consistent pedal feel.

    What Happens If It Fails ⚠️

    Corrosion, pitting, or scoring causes sticking or leak-down: dragging brakes, overheating rotors, brake fade, vibration, and increased stopping distance. Fluid leaks create a soft pedal and can trigger ABS warnings. Prolonged use can warp rotors and destroy pads.

    Tech Notes

    Clean the caliper bore, renew the pressure seal and dust boot, lubricate with fresh brake fluid (DOT 3/4 as specified), and bleed the system thoroughly. Built to OE tolerances for a direct fit and reliable sealing.
